1. According to the requirements of measurement purposes:

It is required to choose instantaneous flow or cumulative flow (cumulative flow), flow display unit, measurement accuracy, repeatability, linearity, flow range and range, measurement temperature, pressure loss, temperature and pressure compensation, output signal characteristics and response time, etc.Different measuring objects have their own measuring purposes, and there are different focuses on turbine flowmeter performance.


2. Property requirements of measuring medium:

Chemical corrosion and scaling, and the chemical nature of fluids, are sometimes the determinants of the choice of measuring methods and instruments.Some flows may cause corrosion of the parts in contact with the meter, scale formation on the surface or precipitation of crystalline metal surface to produce electrolytic chemical action.


3. Requirements for phase grouping of measurement media:

Caution should be exercised when measuring multiphase and multicomponent flows depending on whether the measuring medium is a single phase change medium.Turbine flowmeter can measure single clean medium, electromagnetic flowmeter can measure solid-liquid two-phase mixed medium.


4. Compression system and other parameters:

To measure the gas, you need to know the compressibility value to obtain the fluid density under working conditions.The density of a fluid with fixed composition is calculated by pressure, temperature and compressibility.Where the composition of the fluid changes and works close to (or in) the supercritical region, the density measured online should be considered.


5. Measurement accuracy requirements:

It is necessary to make clear the overall measurement accuracy requirements and whether it should be used at a specific flow rate or there is a significant change due to the change of temperature and pressure within the flow range, and the value is generally low and the difference between various gases is small.The accuracy grade of the intelligent liquid turbine flowmeter is usually 1.0 and 0.5, which is higher than that of the general rotary flowmeter. It is a good choice for customers with high precision requirements.
