Electromagnetic flowmeter has many advantages and is widely used, but if the model selection, installation, improper use, will cause error increase, unstable value, and even damage to the surface. It also can be an acid flow meter, acrylic flow meter, alkali flow meter.

After years of experience and lessons, it is concluded that the error of electromagnetic flow water meter is mainly caused by the following aspects.

The liquid in the electromagnetic flowmeter tube is not filled

Due to insufficient back pressure or poor installation position of the flow sensor, the liquid in the measuring tube cannot be filled.If a small amount of gas shows stratified flow or wavy flow in the water pipe, the fault phenomenon shows that the error increases, that is, the measured flow value does not match the actual value;If the flow is bubble flow or plug flow, in addition to the measured value does not agree with the actual value, the fault phenomenon will also occur because the gas phase immediately covers the electrode surface and the output wobble will occur.If the cross-sectional area of the gas in the stratified flow of the horizontal pipe increases, that is, the degree of liquid under the pipe increases, the output sloshing will also occur. If the liquid under the pipe is more serious, so that the liquid level is below the electrode, the output overfull phenomenon will occur.The reason of this kind of failure is often encountered in the case of after-sales service of the manufacturer, it should be an engineering design error.

A liquid contains solids

Liquid containing powder, particles or fiber and other solid, may cause faults;Slurry noise;Electrode surface stain;Conductive sediments or insulating sediments covered with electrodes or linings;(4) the lining is worn or covered by the sediment, the circulation of the cross-sectional area.If the insulation lining of the measuring tube of the electromagnetic flow sensor deposits conductive material, the flow signal will be short-circuited and the meter will fail.Because conductive material is deposited gradually, this kind of fault usually does not appear during the debugging period, but after operating for a period of time.
