Electromagnetic flowmeter product introduction and technical indicators

1.1 Type and scope of application of electromagnetic flowmeter

Electromagnetic flow meter is composed of electromagnetic flow sensor and electromagnetic flow converter, mainly divided into two categories: body type and separation type.

Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flow meter based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. It is used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquid and slurry in closed pipe.It is widely used in the petrochemical industry, iron and steel metallurgy, water supply and drainage, irrigation, water treatment, environmental protection sewage, paper, medicine, food and other industrial and agricultural departments of the production process of flow measurement and control.


1.2 Product Features

1. Strong independence, measurement is not affected by changes in liquid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and electrical conductivity.

2. Simple structure, low failure rate, no moving and flow blocking parts in the measuring pipe, no blockage, no pressure loss.

3. Wide application range, wide range ratio, suitable for conducting liquid, containing fiber, solid particles and suspended liquid.

4. Low requirements for installation and straight pipe section (2D after 5D).

5. Stable and reliable operation, using low frequency square wave excitation, low power consumption, zero stable.

6. Variety of output signals. Linear analog signals, digital signals and alarm signals can be output directly proportional to the flow rate.


1.3 Working principle (see Figure 1-1)

The principle of flow meter measurement is based on Faraday electromagnetic induction law.The measuring tube of the flowmeter is a short non-magnetic alloy tube lined with insulating material.Two currents are fixed on the measuring tube along the pipe diameter direction through the pipe wall.The electric head is basically flush on the inner surface of the lining.When the excitation coil is pulsed by a bidirectional square wave, a working magnetic field with a magnetic flux density of B will be generated in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube.At this point, if the fluid with constant conductivity flows through the measuring tube, the magnetic force lines will be cut and the electromotive force E will be induced.The EMF E is proportional to the magnetic flux density B, the measuring tube diameter D times the average flow velocity V, and the EMF E (flow signal) is electrically detected and sent to the converter via cable.After amplifying the flow signal, the converter can display the flow rate and output the pulse to simulate the current signal for the measurement and control of the flow.
