How can vortex flowmeter be more accurate in measuring steam

1. The density compensation when the vortex flowmeter measures the steam should be scientific and accurate.

In order to measure the mass flow of steam correctly, the change of steam pressure and temperature must be considered, and the steam density must be compensated by the flow integrator.  The platinum resistor for measuring the steam temperature must be installed in a standard way. The platinum thermal resistor for measuring the temperature is inserted into the center of the pipe  , the platinum thermal resistor is installed at 5 times the pipe diameter downstream of the flow meter, and insulation measures are taken at the pipe location where the platinum thermal resistor is installed to ensure the accuracy of the measured temperature value.  In the measurement of steam pressure must pay attention to, if the pressure pipe pressure, must carry out zero shift value, cause density compensation error, steam flow meter can also be corrected in the flow integrator.

The pressure transmitter is installed at 4 times the pipe diameter downstream of the steam flow meter. The valve and sealing gasket in front of the pressure transmitter should be intact and unblocked to ensure the accurate measurement of the steam pressure.  If the setting pressure and temperature are used for compensation, the set value should be close to the actual value, otherwise the error is very large, and it is generally not recommended to use.

In order to set the running state of the steam flow meter correctly in the flow integrator, it is very important to calculate the steam cost correctly.  For the use occasions when the state of steam is not clear, it is recommended to use the intelligent flow accumulator, with platinum resistance and pressure transmitter for temperature and pressure compensation, so that the steam mass flow rate measured is the most accurate.

2. Correct installation of upstream and downstream straight pipe segments for steam measurement with vortex flow meter.  For the traditional vortex flow meter, the front and rear installation of the straight pipe section is required to be 20 times the pipe diameter and 5 times the pipe diameter respectively (which is the flow meter

No valve and other obstacles in front of technical requirements;  If there are obstacles, the straight pipe section should be added. See the instructions for details.  If the upper and lower straight sections are not sufficient, the steam flow in the pipeline will not be fully developed and the velocity profile will be distorted.  By installing a flow adjustment period or adding a straight pipe section in front of the steam flow meter, the user can adjust the flow velocity distribution of the pipe so that the steam flow meter is in a fully developed fluid state.  Compared with some large caliber steam flow meters, it is more important to meet the installation requirements of upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
