Working principle and application of ultrasonic level meter

Ultrasonic level meter is a digital level meter controlled by microprocessor, which is very common in chemical plants.Only when we master the working principle, application characteristics and maintenance methods of common faults of ultrasonic level gauge, can we make the measured value more accurate and also make the service life of ultrasonic level meter longer.

Ultrasonic level meter is composed of a complete ultrasonic sensor and control circuit.

The ultrasonic level meter is installed vertically on the surface of the liquid. It sends an ultrasonic pulse to the liquid level. After a period of time, the sensor of the ultrasonic level gauge receives the signal reflected back from the liquid level.

The signal is selected and processed by the transmitter circuit, and the distance from the liquid level to the sensor is calculated according to the time difference between the ultrasonic level meter sending and receiving ultrasonic waves.

It is usually used in places where the temperature is between -40℃ and 100℃ and the pressure is below 3Bar.

Under the condition of normal temperature and pressure, it is a good choice to choose ultrasonic level meter to measure the liquid level, which has the advantages of reliable operation, simple installation, long service life and no maintenance, and has a relative price advantage.
