A brief analysis of the installation skills of vortex flowmeter

Vortex flowmeter is sensitive to flow velocity distribution distortion, rotating flow and flow pulsation of the pipeline. Therefore, sufficient attention should be paid to the installation conditions of the pipeline on site, and the operating instructions should be strictly .

Vortex flowmeter can be installed indoors or outdoors.If installed in the underground well, in order to prevent being submerged by water, should choose a salivating water type sensor.The sensor may be installed horizontally, vertically or tilted on the pipe, but when measuring liquids and gases, the installation position should be noted to prevent interference from bubbles and droplets.

Vortex flowmeters must ensure the necessary length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.Note the following when connecting to the pipe.

The inner diameter D of the upstream and downstream piping is the same as that of the sensor, and the difference satisfies the following conditions: 0.95d ≤D '≤ 1.1d.

The piping should be concentric with the sensor with a coaxiality less than 0.05d '.

(3) The sealing gasket cannot protrude into the pipe, and its inner diameter is 1~2mm larger than that of the sensor.

(4) If the sensor needs to be cut off or cleaned, should be set up bypass pipeline.

It is worth paying attention to reduce the influence of vibration on vortex flowmeter during field installation.Should avoid vibration source as far as possible, use elastic hose to connect in small diameter, and add pipe support.

A Brief analysis of installation skills of vortex flowmeter:

1. Vortex flowmeter can only be measured in one direction. Pay attention to ensure that the direction of medium flow is consistent with the direction shown by the flowmeter arrow during installation.

2. Installation method of vortex flowmeter is vertical installation, with the medium passing through the flowmeter from bottom to top.The flow meter is installed on the vertical pipe with the flow direction from bottom to top.

3. During horizontal installation, the flowmeter must be installed in the high-voltage area of the whole system and the corresponding outlet pressure must be ensured;Do not install in the high point of the pipeline, because the high point often gas accumulation, the pipeline is not full, the outlet can not directly empty.

4. When measuring high-temperature fluid, try to adopt vertical installation;If it is necessary to install horizontally, install the transmitter of the flow meter vertically downward or horizontally to avoid excessive temperature;Note that the installation position has good air flow or ventilation.

5. Requirements for straight pipe section: ensure at least 15 times diameter of the front and 5 times diameter of the back of the flowmeter.If the front of the flow meter has elbow, indented, expanded and other interference sources, it is necessary to ensure that the front of the flow meter 30-40 times the pipe diameter, after the flow meter 6 times the pipe diameter.The flowmeter shall be installed upstream of the regulator, pressure or temperature sensor.

6. Pay attention that the pipe diameter should be slightly greater than or equal to the inner diameter of the instrument during installation.

7. When using the sealing ring, pay attention that the inner diameter of the sealing ring should be slightly greater than or equal to the inner diameter of the instrument. The center of the sealing ring is located in the center of the pipe.

When the cable inlet sealing instrument is connected electrically, attention must be paid to the sealing of the inlet hole.Must choose according to meter cable entry model corresponding sealing interface (M20 Χ 1.5;1/2 "NPT.G1/2 "), and install correctly and tightly.Lack of sealing joints or sloppy installation to achieve sealing effect is a common cause of instrument damage.
