Field cause analysis of large error of electromagnetic flowmeter
In the field operation of electromagnetic flowmeter in working conditions, some customers will have a large measurement deviation. After eliminating factors such as product performance and product quality, it is often necessary to conduct careful analysis according to the field conditions, find and eliminate faults, in order to obtain accurate measurement values.
1. Check the set value of the converter and check the zero and full value

2. Check the liquid filling status of the pipeline and the amount of bubbles
This kind of failure is mainly caused by bad design of pipe network or imperfect equipment.
3. Check the signal cable system
Check whether the connection cable matches properly, whether the connection is correct, whether the insulation is down?People usually check the fault cause of the inconformity of the measured flow of electromagnetic flowmeter, often neglect the cable connecting the sensor and the converter, and blindly follow the field debugging or inspection process of the fault, in fact, the frequency of cable connecting fault is quite high.
4. Investigate the flow condition of the upstream medium of the sensor and check the condition of the inner wall of the pipeline measured by the sensor
The upstream flow condition of the sensor is often restricted by the installation space and deviates from the specified requirements. For example, there is not enough length of the straight pipe segment close to the baffle producing turbulence, which will introduce factors affecting the accuracy of measurement.
5. Detect the contact resistance between the electrode and the liquid and the electrode insulation
The resistance of the electrode to the liquid mainly depends on the contact area and the liquid conductivity.
6. Check for any outflow or inflow of manifold not included in the assessment
When process technicians find that there is a big difference between the measured flow and the reference flow, the analysis of various reasons often focuses on the flow meter and ignores the measurement of pipe manifold outflow or inflow.
