Principle and characteristics of intelligent pressure transmitter

Intelligent pressure transmitter is composed of two parts: the pressure sensor and microprocessor (microcomputer), on the principle of full use of the computing and storage capacity of the microprocessor, to process the data of pressure sensor, including the measurement signal conditioning, such as filter, amplifier, A/D conversion, etc.), data display, automatic calibration and compensation, etc.

The microprocessor is the core of the intelligent pressure transmitter. It can not only calculate, store and process the measured data, but also adjust the sensor through the feedback loop to make the collected data better.Because the microprocessor has various software and hardware functions, it can accomplish the tasks that traditional transmitters cannot.So the intelligent pressure transducer reduces the manufacturing difficulty of the sensor and improves the performance of the sensor to a great extent.

In addition, the intelligent pressure transmitter has the following characteristics:

1. Two-way communication function.The microprocessor can not only receive and process the sensor data, but also feedback the information to the sensor, so as to adjust and control the measurement process.It can store and remember information, and store characteristic data, configuration information and compensation characteristics of the sensor.

2. Output function of digital quantity interface, which can connect the output digital signal with computer or field bus conveniently.

3. Automatic compensation capability. The software can automatically compensate the nonlinear, temperature drift and time drift of the sensor.It can be self-diagnosed. After power on, the sensor can be self-tested to check whether each part of the sensor is normal and make a judgment.Data processing is convenient and accurate. Data can be automatically processed according to internal procedures, such as statistical processing, removal of abnormal values, etc.
