Product Details

Principle:

The high frequency microwave pulse emitted by the guided wave radar travels along the detection module (cable or steel bar) and encounters the measured medium. Due to the dielectric constant mutation, the reflection is caused and part of the pulse energy is reflected back.The time interval between the emitted and reflected pulses is proportional to the distance between the measured medium.


Description:

Guided wave radar is a measuring instrument based on the principle of time travel. Radar waves move at the speed of light.The probe emits high frequency pulse and propagates along the cable or bar probe. When the pulse hits the material surface, it is reflected back to be received by the receiver in the instrument and transformed the distance signal into the level signal.

The reflected pulse signal is transmitted to the electronic circuit part of the instrument along the cable or pole probe.The correct identification of echo signal is completed by the pulse software. The distance D from the material surface is directly proportional to the time travel T of the pulse:


D=C×T/2

Since the distance E of the empty tank is known,                                                     

the level L is:

L=E-D

Set by input of empty tank height E (= zero), full

 tank height F (= full range) and some

application parameters, the application

parameters will automatically adapt the

instrument to the measuring environment,                                                   

 corresponding to 4-20ma output.

The blind spot on the top refers to the minimum distance between the highest material surface and the measuring reference point.

A blind spot at the bottom is a distance near the bottom of a cable that cannot be accurately measured.

There is a finite measurement distance between the top blind and the bottom blind.


Note:

Only when the material is between the

blind area at the top and the blind

area at the bottom, the reliable

measurement of the level in the tank

can be guaranteed.

3. Installation guide

Make sure the cable or bar does not touch the internal obstruction within the whole range. Therefore, avoid the facilities inside the tank, such as ladder, limit switch, heating equipment, support, etc.Note also that the cable or bar must not intersect the feed flow.

Note:the highest material level shall not enter the measurement blind area.The meter must be kept away from the tank wall.The instrument is mounted so that the cable or rod is oriented perpendicular to the surface of the medium under test.The instruments installed in the explosion-proof area must comply with the national regulations on the installation of explosion-proof dangerous area.The shell of benan type is made of aluminum.This instrument case is installed on the occasions where explosion protection is required and the instrument must be connected to the earth.

The following installation guide is applicable to cable and lever measuring solids or liquids.


●Installation location:

●Keep as far away as possible from the

discharge and feed orifices.

●The metal tank shall not touch the tank

wall or tank bottom in the whole range.

●It is recommended to be installed at 1/4

or 1/6 of the diameter of the hopper, and

the minimum distance from the tank wall

is 1/10 of the measuring range.

●The minimum distance between the cable

or pole probe and the tank wall is more

than 300mm.

●The bottom of the probe is greater than

 or equal to 30mm from the bottom of the tank.

●The minimum distance between the probe

 and the obstruction in the tank is more                                         

than 200mm.

The explosion-proof form of this product is intrinsically safe.Explosion-proof mark: Exia IIC T6.The radar level gauge adopts the die-cast aluminum shell material and the electronic parts adopt the sealed structure, so as to ensure that the spark generated during the partial fault of the circuit will not be released.This product is suitable for continuous measurement of the physical location of combustible media below the explosion-proof grade of Exia IIC T6.

The product shall be powered by safety grid when used. FBS-2 safety grid is the related equipment of this product, and the explosion proof form is intrinsically safe.Explosion-proof mark: [Exia] IIC, power supply voltage (21.6 ~ 26.4) V DC, short circuit current (135 mA), working current (4-20 mA).

All cables should be screened from the meter to the safety gate up to 500m. Distribution capacitance is no more than 0.1μF/km and distribution inductance is no more than 1mH/km.The instrument must be installed to the ground.Do not use other related equipment that has not been tested for explosion protection.
